Investing activities section is the second section of the statement of cash flows that reports the cash flows resulting from the sale and acquisition of long term assets and investments. It usually involves the cash flows from: purchase and sale of productive long-term assets, purchase and sale of investments,Cash flow from investing activities involves the amount invested in fixed assets and in long-term securities (Cash outflow), and the amount realized from the sale of these items (Cash inflow).
